DUSHANBE, 13.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives of Tajikistan Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda met with the Chairperson of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev, reports Press Secretary of the Assembly of Representatives Muhammadato Sultonov.

The meeting focused on a set of issues of cooperation.

In order to raise relations to a qualitatively new level, first of all, it was recognized as important and mutually beneficial to improve the work of the parliamentary group between the Assembly of Representatives and the Senate of the Parliament.

Zokirzoda noted that 2023 will be a historic year for Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, as both states celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the partnership between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan would continue to develop steadily for the benefit of two states and peoples.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives Kodiri Kosim and members of the friendship group of the Assembly of Representatives and the Senate of the Parliament.
