Ambassador of Tajikistan Meets Ankara University Rector

DUSHANBE, 09.06.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Turkey Ashrafjon Gulov met with the Rector of Ankara University Dr. Necdet Unuvar.
The meeting focused on Tajik students enrolling in this institution, including the state of education and their living conditions, increasing educational quotas, as well as establishing cooperation between universities in Tajikistan and this university.
Ankara University was founded on the basis of the School of Veterinary Medicine (1842) and the Faculty of Political Sciences in 1859. After that, the department of jurisprudence was created in 1925, language and historical-geographical departments opened in 1935 with the participation of Kemal Ataturk.
Today, Ankara University consists of 19 departments, 14 institutes, 12 technical schools, a state conservatory, 44 research centers, a college of foreign languages, 4,000 teachers and 70,000 students. In total, the university has 36 campuses in different cities of Turkey.
