President Emomali Rahmon Receives Credentials of Foreign Ambassadors

DUSHANBE, 15.06.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received letters of credence from foreign ambassadors at a ceremony in the Palace of the Nation.
The following ten newly appointed ambassadors presented their credentials and conveyed greetings of their heads of state.
Among them were the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Ji Shumin, Valikhan Turekhanov of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erlan Abdyldaev of the Kyrgyz Republic, Otto Ivan Rona of Hungary, Jorge Urbiola Lopez de Montenegro of Spain, Mohammad Fajrol Rahman of Indonesia, Chatchawan Sakornsin of Thailand, Mohammed Rachid Maaninou of Morocco, Olyntho Vieira of Brazil, and Frank Hans Dannenberg Castellanos of the Dominican Republic.
President Rahmon congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors on the commencement of their new mission in Tajikistan and expressed confidence that their fruitful diplomatic activities will inject new impetus of partnership in various fields of cooperation between Tajikistan and the states that they represent.
He emphasized that Tajikistan has been pursuing a principled policy of establishing and promoting mutually beneficial multifaceted relations with foreign countries.
President Rahmon in his speech reflected the situation in the world and important issues in solving global water and climate problems, and stated that our countries have similar and close positions on many topical issues related to global problems and will put effort to address them within the framework of multilateral cooperation.
He expressed satisfaction with the constant support of foreign countries for Tajikistan’s global initiatives on pressing issues, noting that over the past two decades, Tajikistan has attracted increasing attention of the international community to global problems, especially water and climate change. In conclusion, he once again wished all the ambassadors success in their work and stressed the readiness of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to assist in promoting their diplomatic activities.
