Tajikistan and Austria Hold Inter-ministerial Political Consultations

DUSHANBE, 01.07.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the tenth round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Austria took place in Vienna.
The delegations were led by Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Farhod Salim and Head of the Department for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus, Central Asia, European Union Eastern Neighborhood Policy and Eastern European Partnership for Central Europe of the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and Foreign Affairs Gerhard Sailler.
The consultations focused on the state and prospects for the development of multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Austria.
The participants exchanged views on important regional and international issues of mutual interest.
It was noted with satisfaction that bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Austria are developing consistently and purposefully in all areas. In this context, the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the framework of the implementation of strategic projects in Tajikistan was emphasized.
The parties noted the need to expand cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union, and also considered it necessary to strengthen interaction at the bilateral and multilateral levels.
