DUSHANBE, 31.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) –    The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali took part in laying the foundation stone for the construction of a branch of the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) in Dushanbe.

The memorandum of understanding regarding the opening of a branch of the MDIS was signed between the Dushanbe Chairman’s Office and the MDIS on July 1, 2020.

Founded in 1956, the MDIS is a non-profit vocational university which will open its third branch in Dushanbe.   

MDIS offers internationally-accredited courses in industrial management, tourism, hospitality management, information and cybernetic security, with the inclusion of mandatory study of the Tajik language, the history of Tajikistan and other national details.  

Although construction is ongoing, from the new academic year, that is, from September 2022, it will open its doors to students.

For this purpose, today Chairman Emomali and the President of the MDIS Dr. Eric Kuan addressed the official opening ceremony of the institute. Emomali wished teachers and students good luck and success at the beginning of the new academic year. Kuan expressed gratitude to President Rahmon and Emomali for their assistance. Emomali presented Kuan with a symbolic key to the city.
