President Emomali Rahmon Visits Sughd Province

DUSHANBE, 09.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived on a working trip to Sughd Province.
The purpose of his visit is to launch a number of new socio-economic facilities, to examine the agricultural harvest in progress, and to meet with the locals.
The working trip began with the opening of the branch of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan in Buston.
The branch was built in order to implement President Rahmon’s initiative on declaring the years 2020-2040 as the Period of Learning and Development of Natural and Hard Sciences in the Republic of Tajikistan.
This was followed by the opening ceremony for a sewing factory in Buston. The workshop produces school uniforms and export-oriented products, including special military clothing, chemical protective clothing, military tents, and army coveralls. The company is expected to employ 45 women.
The opening ceremony of a Durakhshon – Buston Colored Papers Manufacturing Company established by local entrepreneur Gaibullah Rahmonov followed the list. Its production capacity is 20 tons per month and 240 tons of raw materials processing per year.
The opening ceremony of the Orion Pak Manufacturing Enterprise for the production of polypropylene and polyethylene bags owned by local entrepreneur Muinjon Husaynov, Faizullajon Ulmasboev and Saidakmal Olimov, which has a production capacity of 20,000 to 25,000 bags per day, followed the list. It will employ 100 locals in Bobojon Ghafurov.
While visiting the Dusti farm vineyard and the apple and almond garden of the National Park of Vahdat in Bobojon Ghafurov, President Rahmon visited the exhibition of agricultural products of farmers.
At the exhibition of agricultural products, businessman from the neighboring Uzbekistan Muminjon Yuldoshev presented the project design of the Sughd-Ferghana Agroklaster.
In order to increase the volume of cotton production and to process it to the maximum extent, 20,000 hectares of land will be covered by the implementation of the project using the abandoned lands of Bobojon Ghafurov and Asht districts.
Funding for this project is expected to reach $52 million. In the first stage 5,000 people and in the second stage up to 20,000 people will be provided with jobs.
