Round Table on Favorable Investment Climate of Tajikistan Held in Batumi

DUSHANBE, 04.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – A round table on Tajikistan’s favorable investment climate was held on August 3 in Batumi with the participation of local and foreign entrepreneurs and investors, public and private companies of Georgia.
It was initiated by the Embassy of Tajikistan in Georgia with the support of the Honorary Consul of Tajikistan in Batumi.
In his opening speech, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Georgia Rustam Soli noted the importance of the event for developing and strengthening mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
All participants were informed about the opportunities for investment in various sectors of the economy of Tajikistan, including hydropower, industry, mining and processing of minerals, processing and export of agricultural products, construction of tourism and transport infrastructure, which are priorities for Tajikistan.
Soli informed the participants about the economic and social achievements of Tajikistan, especially about the start of the implementation of its fourth strategic goal — the accelerated industrialization of Tajikistan.
He stressed that President Emomali Rahmon declared the years 2022-2026 as the Years of Industrial Development, which is a new stage for attracting foreign investment.
