Tajikistan’s International Initiatives Promoted in Berlin

DUSHANBE, 26.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany Imomudin Sattorov spoke at the Parliamentary Evening of the German Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union – NABU, which was held in honor of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and the countries of Central Asia.
The event was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of Germany, ambassadors of Central Asian countries, as well as that of Mongolia, Bundestag representatives, organizations in the field of environmental protection and rare animals, as well as journalists.
Sattorov spoke about Tajikistan’s international initiatives in the field of water and the protection of glaciers, including the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028,” the Water Conference 2023, the announcement of 2025 as the International Year for the Preservation of Glaciers, as well as the announcement of World Glacier Day, and the importance of creating a special International Glacier Fund.
The event also focused on the implementation of the German regional initiative “Green Central Asia,” the prospects for cooperation with the German Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU), and the development of a green economy in Tajikistan.
