Tajiks Living in Saudi Arabia Celebrate Anniversary of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council

DUSHANBE, 28.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 25, a solemn event was held in Riyadh in honor of the 31st anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence and the 30th anniversary of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council with the participation of Tajiks living in Saudi Arabia and representatives of official and business circles of the host country.
The Ambassador of Tajikistan to Saudi Arabia Akram Karimi spoke about the high values of independence and sovereignty, achievements of Tajikistan since its independence under the leadership of President Emomali Rahmon and the historical significance of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of Tajikistan.
He emphasized that the historic XVI Session of the Supreme Council gave a solid start to the process of restoring constitutional order and protecting the values of a democratic and law-governed state, and created the first basis for mutual understanding, national harmony, and peace among Tajiks.
