DUSHANBE. October 14, 2022 /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev within the CIS and Central Asia — Russia Summits in Astana.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation within regional and international organizations were discussed.
President Rahmon expressed satisfaction with the positive results of the development of the partnership and allied relations between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and called today’s meeting an appropriate opportunity to discuss the current state and future prospects of friendship, cooperation, and good neighborliness.
While discussing the issues of expanding cooperation in the priority areas that are useful for the parties, the two leaders considered the full implementation of the previously reached agreements as a priority. A conversation also took place on other topical issues of mutual interest.
