Tajikistan Supports Saudi Arabia’s Bid to Host Expo 2030

DUSHANBE, 04.10.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan expressed its support for Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the Expo 2030 in Riyadh, reported Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud following his meeting with President Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe yesterday.
Al Saud expressed his gratitude to President Rahmon for his support and Tajikistan’s readiness to assist in the preparation of this important global event.
“We express hope that Tajikistan will take part in EXPO-2030,” said Saudi Foreign Minister.
It should be noted that yesterday President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
During the meeting a wide range of issues pertaining to cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia were discussed. In December, Saudi Arabia took part in a virtual general assembly meeting of the Bureau International des Expositions held in Paris to start the candidature process, which will take place in five stages and will end with a vote at the end of 2023.
