Ambassador of Tajikistan to Turkiye Attends Symposium Entitled “Multicultural Contribution to the Formation of a Modern Ecological and New Water Culture”

DUSHANBE, 24.11.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On November 23, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Turkiye Ashrafjon Gulov, per invitation of the Ambassador of Italy in Ankara Giorgio Marrapodi, took part and delivered speech at the symposium entitled “Multicultural contribution to the formation of a modern ecological and new water culture.”
Gulov familiarized those present with the global initiatives of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the water sector, in particular, with the fourth initiative — International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028.”
Along with this, the Tajik diplomat noted that a briefing related to the UN Water Conference 2023 will be held in Ankara on November 24, 2022, together with the embassies of Tajikistan, Netherlands and the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator.
Taking the opportunity, he invited the participants of the symposium to take part in the briefing.
About 50 participants, including professors, diplomats, Italian and Turkiye experts in the field of water and the environment, took part in this event in presence and virtual form.
