DUSHANBE, 07.01.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, a telephone conversation took place between the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorable Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

At the beginning of the conversation, the heads of state exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.

The Presidents noted with satisfaction the high level of bilateral relations based on good traditions of friendship, mutual respect and trust.

The parties highly appreciated the progressive development of the Tajik-Kazakh strategic partnership in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as close cooperation in the field of security and on the platforms of international organizations.

It should be noted that Kazakhstan is one of the main trading partners of Tajikistan. According to the results of eleven months of the past year, its share in the foreign trade turnover of our country is 19.6 percent.

In this context, the leaders of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan discussed ways to further expand the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, primarily through filling practical interaction with concrete, qualitative content.

During the conversation, a useful exchange of views took place on topical issues on the international and regional agenda.
