Over 98.9% of Tajikistan’s Population Vaccinated Against COVID-19

DUSHANBE, 20.02.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – As of February 15, more than 5,000,000 people (98.9%) were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Tajikistan.
Since February 18 last year, no cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered in Tajikistan.
“In order to prevent a new outbreak in Tajikistan, measures are being taken to vaccinate citizens. Currently, 100% of citizens have been vaccinated in Dushanbe, and vaccination continues in other regions. 5,287,165 people have already received two doses of the vaccine, 5,247,165 people — the third dose and 4,223,325 people — the fourth dose of the vaccine. Most citizens have been vaccinated with CoronaVac.
According to the decision of the Republican COVID-19 Prevention Commission, vaccination against coronavirus for citizens from the age of 18 is mandatory. The vaccine is provided to citizens free of charge.
