DUSHANBE, 30.03.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, launched the activity of a sewing and carpet weaving workshop in the city of Istiklol, Sughd Province.

This facility was built by the State Unitary Enterprise «Nuri Khovar», its main activity is sewing and carpet weaving, and it is equipped with modern devices and equipment.

About 15 housewives and girls are employed in the tailoring workshop, they are engaged in sewing uniforms for school, work, bedding and various national clothes.

The sewing workshop has 12 sewing machines, cutting, ironing and other necessary equipment.

About 600 pairs of different clothes and high-quality handmade carpets can be produced in the workshop.

The Head of state was informed that currently 5 types of carpets are produced in the carpet workshop, and raw materials, including yarn, are imported from abroad.

The quality of the carpets of the workshop meets the requirements of the day and is produced in accordance with the market requirements.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, had a free and sincere conversation with the workers of this workshop and guided them to produce high-quality products.

Housewives of the city of Istiklol, in their turn, expressed their gratitude to the Leader of the Nation for creating favorable conditions for work and life, and promised to continue the work in this newly built workshop even better.

The establishment of this workshop, which took place within the framework of the construction works dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, plays a constructive role in providing the domestic market with domestic products and improving the living standards of the residents of the city of Istiklol.
