DUSHANBE, 10.04.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Issues related to disaster risk reduction and its impact on children, areas prone to natural disasters, their preparedness for emergencies were discussed by the leadership of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense and a delegation of the USAID Humanitarian Aid Bureau.
The meeting also focused on issues related to adaptation to climate change.
The leadership of the Committee stressed the expansion of cooperation between the two structures in the field of emergency response.
The guests were acquainted with the activities of the Committee in the field of protecting the population and territories from emergencies.
The parties also discussed further bilateral cooperation.
They reaffirmed commitment to expanding cooperation in the field of disaster risk reduction and providing assistance to the population affected by natural disasters.
