Main Directorate of Geology Offers 100 Farms to Move to Safe Places

DUSHANBE, 28.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) — In the first six months of 2023, the Main Directorate of Geology, in accordance with the project «State Service of Exogenous Geological Processes for 2020-2025», conducted engineering and geological studies in 169 villages in cities and districts of republican subordination, Sughd and Khatlon regions, Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. As a result, 100 farms were asked to move from dangerous zones to safe places. It was informed by the Head of the Main Directorate of Geology Ilhom Oymuhammadzoda yesterday during a press conference.
It should be noted that based on requests in 2021, specialists of the Main Directorate of Geology conducted engineering and geological studies in 886 villages, settlements and on the streets of cities and districts of the country and recommended 231 farms to move from dangerous zones to safe places.
