New EU Multi-annual Indicative Program for 2021-2027 Presented in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 26.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – A meeting with the participation of the leadership of the relevant ministries and departments was held in Dushanbe, in which representatives of the European Union presented a new Multi-annual Indicative program for 2021-2027.
The participants were presented with a detailed presentation of the new EU Multi-annual Indicative program for 2021-2027, within the framework of which new promising areas of multilateral cooperation, including education and healthcare, the development of the «green» and digital economy, technical assistance, creation of new jobs and assistance in solving environmental problems were considered.
It was emphasized that the European Union, within the framework of its previous program for 2014-2020, allocated €251 million to Tajikistan, as well as an additional €48 million of grant funds for social spheres, taking into account the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Following the event, the parties agreed to continue further expansion and effective use of multilateral cooperation in various spheres of the economy.
