Tajikistan and Kazakhstan Take Additional Measures to Export Fruits and Vegetables

DUSHANBE, 03.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On July 1, in Astana, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavkш Zavkizoda met with the Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantirov.
The parties agreed to take additional measures to export fruits and vegetables, as well as to implement investment projects.
It was noted that in 2022 the volume of foreign trade turnover between the two countries increased by 22.3% to $1,4 billion, and Kazakhstan became the second largest trading partner of Tajikistan.
The parties also agreed to take additional measures to implement the instructions of the heads of the two states, the protocol of the Intergovernmental Commission meeting, the Roadmap to increase trade between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan for 2023-2024.
Along with this, the Kazakh side was invited to take part in the Central Asian Economic Forum, which will be held on September 14-15, 2023 in Dushanbe as part of the Summit of the Heads of Central Asian State.
