DUSHANBE, 13.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 12, a number of universities of Tajikistan and China signed documents on cooperation within the framework of the education exhibition “China (Shaanxi) — Tajikistan” in Dushanbe.
The cooperation agreements were signed between the Khujand Scientific Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the Shaanxi University of Technology of China, the Oxford Language Center and the Shaanxi University of Technology of China, the Tajik International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship and the Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, the Tajik Technology University and the Xi’an Railway Vocational Institute of China.
Chinese Ambassador to Tajikistan Ji Shumin noted that the China Education Exhibition made it possible to carry out Chinese-Tajik exchanges in the field of education.
“Interaction between Tajikistan and China in the field of education is constantly supported at various levels. Knowledge is power, and collaboration in education can multiply that power. I think that deepening cooperation in this direction will allow us to achieve great results. Both of our states have a thousand-year history and culture. In ancient times, we were connected by the Silk Road, and in modern times by the One Belt, One Road Initiative, which brings significant benefits to the two states and their peoples. In this process, educational and cultural exchanges bring the two peoples closer together. President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of China Xi Jinping held a historic meeting in Xi’an and reached a broad consensus on issues of humanitarian exchanges and agreed on the need to strengthen cooperation in the field of education,” said Ambassador.
The Secretary of the Education Committee of the Party Committee of the Chinese Communist Party of Shaanxi Province Liu Jianlin noted that universities in Shaanxi Province, which are widely represented at the educational exhibition, have advanced educational conditions, rich experience in international cooperation and a variety of training programs. Universities in Shaanxi and Xi’an are widely recognized in China and abroad, including among the youth of Tajikistan.
Following the exhibition, the best students who completed their studies in China were awarded diplomas.
