Consultation of International Monetary Fund Governors from the Middle East and Central Asia Takes Place in Morocco

DUSHANBE, 17.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Hokim Kholikzoda took part in consultations of International Monetary Fund Governors from the Middle East and Central Asia in Morocco.
The participants were presented with an overview of the monetary situation in the region.
It was also discussed issues related to the impact of rising interest rates on the banking system, the possibility of expanding the domestic investment base of states to reduce risks, tightening regulation and control of state-owned banks to ensure financial stability, as well as regulation and coordination of macroprudential and anti-crisis measures.
