Dushanbe Hosts the First Meeting of the Tajik-Iranian Political Committee

DUSHANBE, 20.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On October 19, the first meeting of the Tajik-Iranian Political Committee was held in Dushanbe.
Delegations of the parties were led by the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sodik Imomi and Iran Ali Bagheri.
The parties exchanged views on the state and prospects of the development of bilateral relations in the political, trade, economic, health, tourism, cultural and educational spheres.
The meeting also focused on issues of cooperation within the framework of regional and international organizations.
The parties expressed their readiness to intensify mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas in order to facilitate the further expansion of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran.
Also, on October 19, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran for political affairs Ali Bagheri.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Iran.
They also exchanged views on cooperation within regional and international organizations.
