DUSHANBE, 26.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On October 26, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the President of the International Boxing Association (IBA), Umar Kremlyov, who came to Dushanbe on a business trip.
During the meeting, the state and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and the International Boxing Association were discussed.
Upon the conversation, opinions were exchanged on the position of boxing in Tajik society and the prospects for the development of this type of sport in our country.
The Head of State emphasized the active participation of Tajik boxers in various international and regional competitions and mentioned their high results in recent years.
In particular, the Leader of the Nation emphasized the achievements of Tajik boxers at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, People’s Republic of China, where our boxers won a gold and a bronze medals.
Special attention was also paid to the measures taken by the Government of the country and the Boxing Federation of Tajikistan for the further development of this sport.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the level and content of partnership, and also expressed hope for further beneficial cooperation between the Boxing Federation of Tajikistan and the International Boxing Association.
