Tajikistan and Azerbaijan Discuss Expansion of Bilateral Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 10.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday in Baku, as part of the 27th meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Economic Cooperation Organization, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov.
The foreign ministers expressed interest of expanding bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.
In this context, it was noted the need to seize opportunities to develop economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries, especially in the fields of hydropower, transport, communications, agriculture and tourism.
The officials also had an exchange of views on issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan within the framework of international organizations and other issues of mutual interest.
