Tajik Delegation Attends a Joint Meeting of the Councils of Foreign Ministers, Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO

DUSHANBE, 23.11.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On November 22, delegation of Tajikistana took part in the joint meeting of the councils of Foreign Ministers, Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Minsk.
Tajikistan was represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, Minister of Defense Sherali Mirzo and Secretary of the Security Council Nasrullo Mahmudzoda.
The heads of delegations exchanged views on the military-political situation in the CSTO collective security regions and heard information on priority areas of activity during the chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the CSTO. The draft Declaration of the CSTO Collective Security Council and the list of decisions of the heads of state were also adopted as a basis.
Muhriddin presented the position of Tajikistan on strengthening political interaction and international positioning of the CSTO, the development of military, military-economic and military-technical cooperation, as well as the situation in Afghanistan and its impact on the security of the Central Asian collective security region of the CSTO.
As a result of the joint meeting, a Statement of the CSTO Foreign Ministers on common approaches to ensuring the security of the Eurasian space in the new military-political conditions was adopted.
