Tajikistan and Qatar Discuss Cooperation in the Field of Climate Change

DUSHANBE, 12.12.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On the sidelines of the COP28 in Dubai, the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection Bahodur Sheralizoda met with the Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Qatar Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani.
The meeting focused on cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar in the field of climate change.
Sheralizoda spoke about our country’s implementation of nationally determined contributions to the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
It was highly appreciated the role of Tajikistan in promoting water and climate issues in the international arena, including in the successful holding of the UN Water Conference co-chaired by Tajikistan and the Netherlands in March 2023 in New York.
