Draft Terms of Teference for the Dushanbe Water Conference Discussed

DUSHANBE, 30.01.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Meeting of the International Advisory Committee of the Dushanbe Water Process to promote the implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028,” as well as the Third International High-Level Conference on the International Water Decade for Action, which will be held from June 10 through June 13, 2024 in Dushanbe, took place on January 29.
The meeting was held via videoconference format with the participation of permanent members of the IWC, their representatives and other stakeholders, and was co-chaired by the Special Envoy of the President of Tajikistan for Water and Climate Sulton Rahimzoda and the Director of the World Bank Global Water Practice Saroj Kumar Jha.
Draft terms of reference for organizing and conducting interactive dialogues and forums of the Third Dushanbe Water Conference were discussed.
Committee members expressed their opinions on the above issues, exchanged views on the draft concept and structural program, topics for interactive dialogues, as well as possible outcome documents of the conference.
