Participation of the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the UN in the regular meeting of the Water Friends Group
DUSHANBE, 01.12.2017 /NIAT «Khovar»/. On November 30, at the United Nations Headquarters, the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the UN, Ambassador Mahmadamin Mahmadaminov attended and addressed the regular meeting of the Water Friends Group.
According to the MFA Information Department, during the meeting, Ambassador Mahmadaminov briefed the participants on the launch process of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028” and its importance in facilitating the promotion of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Permanent Representative of Tajikistan also expressed satisfaction on the strong support rendered by the UN Secretary-General and the active role of the President of the UN General Assembly in the preparation of the launch process of the above-mentioned initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon.
