Abdukhalil Gafurzoda Takes Office as Tajikistan’s Plenipotentiary Representative in the CSTO PA

DUSHANBE, 16.02.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – The Headquarters of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO PA) in St. Petersburg hosted a meeting between the Executive Secretary of the CSTO PA Sergei Pospelov and the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan in the CSTO PA Abdukhalil Gafurzoda.
The meeting focused on the work plan for 2024 and prospects for the development of joint activities within the Assembly with Tajik colleagues.
The parties also discussed issues of intensifying interaction on the academic component of work with model acts.
«Currently, we are preparing to sign cooperation agreements with a number of universities in Tajikistan,» said Pospelov.
Gafurzoda was appointed Plenipotentiary Representative of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan in the CSTO PA at the end of January 2024 in agreement with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
Since 2019, he has served as Rector of the Academy for Public Administration. He is also a member of the dissertation council at state universities in St. Petersburg and Kyrgyzstan.
