Volume of Bilateral Foreign Trade Turnover of Tajikistan and the UAE Increased by 84% in 2023

DUSHANBE, 27.02.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – As part of the 13th Ministerial Conference of the member states of the World Trade Organization (WTO), on February 24 in Abu Dhabi, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda met with the Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.
The meeting focused on issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation and bilateral investments.
Zavkizoda called on his colleague to help attract investments from the UAE in priority areas of the national economy, especially the construction and reconstruction of hydroelectric power plants, solar and wind power plants, the creation of joint industrial ventures, mining, as well as the construction of logistics and tourism infrastructure.
It was noted that in 2023, the volume of bilateral foreign trade turnover increased by 84%.
The parties also expressed their readiness to further expand trade and economic cooperation.
