DUSHANBE, 29.04.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On April 26, 2024, at the Department of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies of the S.U.Umarov Physical–Technical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan opened a new laboratory for the research and synthesis of nanocomposite materials — “Laboratory of Functional Nanomaterials”.
This laboratory is equipped with modern scientific equipment, including a unique scanning electron microscope (made in Japan) — for analyzing the samples under development with an accuracy of several nanometers, powerful computing server processor — for carrying out quantum chemical calculations of the molecular structure of new materials; a number of spectrophotometers, as well as devices for surface cleaning and application of nanocoatings and other equipment, which together are designed for practical experiments on the synthesis of final innovative products — nanocomposite materials with improved properties.
It should be noted that since 2020, several young scientists from the Department of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies have undergone scientific and practical training in Japan, Spain, Portugal, and China.
The opening of the new laboratory was attended by the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Kobiljon Khushvakhtzoda.
Based on this laboratory, the Physical–Technical Institute has the opportunity to conduct international-level scientific experiments in the field of developing functional nanocomposite materials with properties that are optimal for practical implementation.
