President of Uzbekistan Mirziyoyev Laid a Wreath at the Foot of the Monument to Ismoili Somoni

DUSHANBE, 18.04.2024 /NIAT «Khovar»/. President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as part of his state visit to the Republic of Tajikistan laid a wreath at the foot of the monument to the Founder of the first Tajik state — Shah Ismoili Somoni.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was accompanied at the ceremony by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda and other officials.
The visit envisages high-level meetings and negotiations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will consider a wide range of bilateral cooperation. After the meeting and high-level negotiations, a number of new documents on bilateral cooperation are expected to be signed.
Today, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will participate in the cultural program «Friendship forever».
Also according to the program of the visit, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev will meet with Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda and Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda.
He also expected to participate in the official opening ceremony of the new building of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the capital of Tajikistan — Dushanbe.
