Shavkat Mirziyoyev Calls the Signing of the Treaty on Allied Relations a New Historical Milestone in Bilateral Relations

DUSHANBE, 19.04.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – “Tajikistan is the closest, most reliable and time-tested strategic partner for Uzbekistan. The fraternal Uzbek and Tajik peoples are inextricably linked by strong bonds of centuries-old friendship. We are brought together by common history, cultural and spiritual values, traditions and customs,” said the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a press conference following talks with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
He highly appreciated the results of the top level meetings and called the signing of the Treaty on Allied Relations truly historic, which fully meets the fundamental interests of the two fraternal peoples.
“With this step, we confirmed our strong mutual commitment to an irreversible course towards deepening the multifaceted Tajik-Uzbek strategic partnership and alliance. This important document, without any exaggeration, will mark a new historical milestone in bilateral relations,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
