Tajikistan, China Discuss Strategic Partnership Developments

DUSHANBE, 29.04.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Sun Weidong.
They discussed the expansion of comprehensive strategic partnership in political, military-technical, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
In addition, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Farhod Salim, held a meeting with the Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Weidong.
At the meeting, they discussed priority areas of bilateral relations of comprehensive strategic partnership, cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, such as the UN, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as well as within the newly established mechanism “Central Asia-China”.
The sides exchanged views on strengthening joint efforts in combating terrorism and extremism.
