DUSHANBE WATER PROCESS. The capital of Tajikistan to host a high-level Forum called “Woman and Water”

DUSHANBE, 30.05.2024 /NIAT Khovar/. Within the framework of the Third High-Level International Conference on the International Decade of Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028”, which will be held from June 10 to 13 this year in Dushanbe, a High-Level Forum entitled “Woman and Water” will be held on June 10 in the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It should be reminded that 9 forums on various topics will be organized within the framework of the conference. Responsible ministries and agencies of Tajikistan are entrusted to act as co-initiators of these forums in partnership with international organizations, United Nations agencies, agencies, regional organizations and organizations of the participating countries.
The forums will be organized prior to the opening of the conference and will ensure focused participation of the private sector, academia, women, youth and other key groups in line with the objectives of the conference.
The events will enable various stakeholders such as women, youth, indigenous peoples, professional groups, scientists, private sector and others to engage in the Water Agenda with a focus on strengthening activism and partnerships in the water sector at national, regional and global levels.
Real and relevant discussions, conclusions and decisions can effectively contribute to the work of the conference and the review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, incorporating an accelerated framework to achieve Goal 6.
