Prime Minister of Pakistan Meets Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives of Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 03.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif met with the Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives of Tajikistan Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda.
It was emphasized that the Assembly of Representatives is establishing fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation with the Parliament of Pakistan through friendship groups, resolving issues related to legislation and other issues important for peoples and countries.
It was reported that to date, 9 of the total number of documents of bilateral cooperation have been approved by the parliaments of both states, and it was proposed to review and accelerate their implementation in accordance with modern requirements.
It was noted that Assembly of Representatives is an active member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Economic Cooperation Organization, whose office is located in Islamabad. In this regard, representatives of the Parliament of Tajikistan take part in permanent meetings of the Assembly and express their position on expanding economic cooperation between member states.
