Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon visits the vineyards in the “Boghi Somon” Farm in Tursunzoda

On October 17, in continuation of his working visit to the city of Tursunzoda, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustam Emomali, visited the vineyards of the “Boghi Somon” Farm.
The farm «Boghi Somon» was built in 2008 on the basis of the instructions of the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon by the well-known horticulturist late Kamol Madumarov on the area of more than 500 hectares of land.
During the conversation with the farmers, the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon gave useful advice for using the abundant agricultural potential of the region, including water and land, and contributing more to ensuring the country’s food security.
The farm has more than 1,100 shareholders, and the number of permanent and hired workers reaches more than 4,000 during the peak of field work.
Also, these days and nights, the land of this farm is also considered a place of work for local merchants, because the number of buyers increases significantly during the harvest season. The management of the farm informed the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon that currently more than 10 types of grapes suitable for the local climate are grown in the vineyard.
