DUSHANBE, 12.10.2024 /NIAT Khovar/. On October 12, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, after the opening of general secondary education institution No. 26, got acquainted with the project of the palace of culture and kindergarten in the center of Roshtqal’a district.

As part of the expansion of development works to celebrate the 35th anniversary of State Independence, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, a two-story palace of culture building and a kindergarten for 200 children will be built in the center of Roshtqal’a district.

A hall with 515 seats, workrooms and other necessary infrastructure will be built in the cultural facility, and favorable conditions will be provided for cultural events in the future.

According to the project, a two-story kindergarten building will be built with a total area of 2200 square meters, and spacious classrooms equipped with educational equipment and visual aids, bedrooms, a canteen, a playground for children and entertainment, a fountain and other auxiliary facilities will be built in it.

The buildings of the palace of culture and kindergarten are being built by the State Institution «Directorate of Construction of Government Facilities» of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan with the involvement of local workers and specialists.

Also, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, during his working visit in Roshtqal’a district, put into operation in an online format the high-voltage power transmission lines (PTLs) of Khorugh — Qozideh, Surkhsangov — Vanj and the road bridge of the village of Dashtak, and became familiar with new projects of energy facilities, which are being implemented in Shughnon, Ishkoshim and Rushon districts.

The 110-kV Khorugh-Qozideh high-voltage PTL and the 35 kV-Surkhsangov-Vanj high-voltage PTL were built with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the involvement of development partners, and its total length is 84.5 kilometers.

With the implementation of this measure, the level of accidents in the unified energy system of Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Province will be significantly reduced, and the quality of electricity supply to the population of remote villages of Vanj, Shughnon and Ishkoshim districts will improve.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the construction of 13 small hydropower plants in Rushon, Vanj and Darvoz districts is underway as part of the rural electrification project of Tajikistan, and solar panels are being installed in 22 villages of Murghob district.

In addition, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the involvement of development partners, new projects have been implemented, including the construction project of the «Charsem» hydropower plant with a capacity of 14 MW in the Shughnon district, the construction project of the 110-kV PTL in Rushon district, and the construction project of the 110-kV substation in Ishkoshim district. 

At the same time, the process of works performed in the construction of the «Sebzor» hydropower plant was presented to the Head of State Emomali Rahmon.

Currently, with the involvement of more than 500 domestic workers and specialists, construction works are underway on the dam of the power plant, floodgates, water treatment plant, engine hall and other parts of the facility.

The power plant is being built with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the involvement of development partners, and after the 3 units are fully operational, it will function with a design capacity of 11 MW.
