DUSHANBE, 04.10.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On October 4, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Co-chairman of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Russia on Economic Cooperation, Marat Khusnullin.
At the meeting, the issues of strengthening multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia were discussed.
Much attention was paid to the expansion of relations between the two countries in the fields of trade, industry, energy, finance, banking and investment.
In order to achieve the goals defined in these directions, it was considered necessary to increase the effectiveness of the activity of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
The attraction of Russian capital to the economy of Tajikistan was interpreted as beneficial for both countries in terms of implementation of joint projects, including in the sectors of industrial cooperation and the establishment of industrial parks.
There was also an exchange of views on other important issues of the relations between Tajikistan and Russia.
