DUSHANBE, 04.11.2024 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On November 4, in the city of Al-Kuwait, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with the Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Development, Waleed Al-Bahar.
The issues of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and this Fund were discussed at the meeting.
The expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and the Kuwait Fund for Development in the financing of important infrastructure projects, including the construction of highways, facilities in the energy and irrigation sectors, was one of the important topics of the meeting.
In this regard, the leadership of the State of Kuwait was thanked for the initiative of allocating 100 million US dollars for the implementation of the «Roghun» hydropower plant project.
The wide involvement of the Fund in the financing of social and economic projects of our country, including in the health and education sectors, was deemed expedient.
There was also a fruitful discussion on other issues of interest.
