DUSHANBE, 17.11.2024 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On November 17, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, launched the operation of the enterprise for the production of reinforced and concrete electric poles and the repair and modernization of transformers LLC «Istaravshan Energo» in the city of Istaravshan.

This enterprise was built by the local businessman Bahodur Zokirov on an area of 50 acres of land, and consists of three workshops, including a welding workshop, a transformer repair workshop, and casting of reinforced concrete electric poles.

Devices for the production of products at this plant were imported and installed from the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China.

The Honorable Leader of the Nation was informed that the capacity of the electric iron and concrete poles workshop is 2200 units per year, and local residents are employed here.

Reinforced concrete poles are produced in different sizes, including 11, 10.5 and 9.5 meters, and are used for 0.4, 6 and 10 kilovolt power lines. The production of the poles is carried out outside, and during the cold season these poles are dried by steam in a special device.

The Head of State highly appreciated the construction works and the opportunities created in this enterprise, and gave useful instructions and guidance to the domestic entrepreneur to further strengthen its potential and expand the scope of activity.

5 local specialists are employed in the workshop for repairing transformers, and its capacity is to repair and renovate 150 transformers per year.

A product sample was displayed on the plant floor. The Head of State, while getting acquainted with the samples of the products, highly appreciated their quality.

The constant support and provision of benefits by the state and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the private sector has led to the motivation and confidence of entrepreneurs, and the construction of industrial enterprises in the cities and districts of the country has increased year by year.

The activity of this enterprise is carried out within the framework of the implementation of one of the strategic goals of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan — the rapid industrialization of the country, and makes a significant contribution to the reduction of imported products.
