DUSHANBE, 07.01.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – From the beginning of 2025, Tajikistan will tighten control over heavy-duty vehicle traffic on the roads.
For this purpose, amendments have been made to the Road Transport Code, which require drivers to undergo weight and size checks at the request of an official. In case of non-compliance with loading standards on motor vehicles, shippers will be held administratively liable.
The need to comply with these standards is also indicated in Article 52 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Roads and Road Activities”.
Regulatory legal acts governing the road sector have been improved for the rational and efficient use of roads, and all road users are required to comply with the established standards.
