On February 28, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Head of the Government of the country, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.

The meeting first heard a report by the Minister of Education and Science of Tajikistan, Rahim Saidzoda, on the National Strategy for Assessing the Quality of Education in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period until 2044.

It was emphasized that the National Strategy is aimed at improving the educational process, contributing to ensuring the quality of education and laying the foundation for participation in international assessments of the quality of education. The quality of education is assessed taking into account the provision of favorable conditions for education and upbringing, personnel potential, educational literature that is appropriate to the intellectual and physiological abilities of students and pupils, educational tools, methodological and visual materials, as well as the mastery of educational programs in accordance with the requirements of state education standards.

The Head of State instructed the Ministry of Education and Science, relevant agencies, and local executive bodies of state power to take specific measures to implement this strategy and eliminate serious shortcomings in the sector, and to report information to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan annually by February 1.

Then, the draft Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Russian Federation on the establishment of an industrial park in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan was considered and adopted.

The meeting continued with the consideration of the Program for the Rehabilitation of Uranium Ore Processed Waste Storage Facilities in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2025-2030 and the Program for Vocational Training and Employment of Convicts and Persons Released from Punishment for 2025-2030.

It was noted that the purpose of developing the Program for the Rehabilitation of Uranium Ore Processed Waste Storage Facilities in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2025-2030 is to continue the necessary work, identify damaged facilities, and fully neutralize and restore the areas damaged by uranium processing production in the republic.

The Program for Vocational Training and Employment of Convicts and Persons Released from Punishment for 2025-2030 was developed with the aim of creating conditions and providing opportunities for convicts and persons released from punishment to engage in vocational training and employment.

The Head of State, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, gave instructions to the relevant ministries and departments for the effective and practical implementation of the aforementioned plans and programs. 

At the end of the meeting, the Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, gave specific instructions regarding the implementation of the issues of the present meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, previous instructions of the Head of State, comprehensive preparation for spring sowing, implementation of the indications of the Address of the President of the country to the Majlisi Oli, due preparation for a worthy welcome of the international holiday of Navruz and the 35th anniversary of state independence.
