On March 27, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Head of the Government of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.
First, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda reported on the timely preparation of the economic and social sectors of the republic for regular and effective activity in the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026.
It was emphasized that the purpose of developing the project is to determine tasks and measures related to resolving issues of preparing the economic and social sectors of the republic for the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026.
The Head of State, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, instructed to approve an action plan for the implementation of this goal and to establish a republican headquarters from the top heads of ministries and agencies for regular activity.
It was instructed that ministries, agencies and local executive bodies of state power submit information on the progress of implementing the action plan within the established deadlines.
President Emomali Rahmon expressed concern about the inefficient use of electricity and its excessive losses in the autumn-winter season of 2024-2025 and gave specific instructions to officials to eliminate the existing serious shortcomings and prevent such situations.
It was stressed that even criminal liability should be established for the illegal use of electricity and non-payment of fees.
Then, a number of draft laws of the Republic of Tajikistan, including “On Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan”, “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Industrial Safety of Hazardous Production Facilities” and “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Medicines, Medical Products and Pharmaceutical Activities”, were approved and submitted for consideration to the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan considered the Medium-Term Program for the Development of the Customs Authorities of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2025-2029 and the Program for the Recovery, Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Prisoners Convicted of Committing Crimes of an Extremist and Terrorist Nature, Participation in Armed Conflicts and Military Conflicts on the Territory of Foreign Countries for 2025-2029, and adopted relevant decisions.
A report by responsible persons was heard on the existing lands, their distribution by groups, types and land users of the republic as of January 1, 2025.
At the end of the meeting, the President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, gave specific instructions and assignments to ministries, agencies, organizations, institutions and local government bodies on the mandatory, timely and high-quality implementation of the instructions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Instructions were also given on the timely and high-quality organization of spring planting and work, especially cotton and potatoes, the implementation of the instructions outlined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Majlisi Oli, the expansion of greenery and construction at the facilities commemorating the 35th anniversary of State Independence, in particular the construction of educational and preschool institutions.
