Aid from the Leader of the Nation to Earthquake Victims in Rasht and Tojikobod districts

On April 15, based on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, aid consisting of food, household items, and construction materials was sent to the earthquake victims in the Rasht and Tojikobod districts.
We would like to remind that on April 13, 2025, at 09:24, an earthquake occurred in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan. The earthquake intensity at its epicenter, which was located 160 km northeast of the city of Dushanbe and 21 km east of the center of the Rasht district, was 5-6 points, and in the city of Dushanbe it was 3 points.
By order of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, after the earthquake on April 13, a government commission headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Sulaymon Ziyozoda was mobilized to the districts of the Rasht Valley.
A government commission consisting of heads and representatives of ministries and departments related to emergencies, state resources, construction, geology, land development and geodesy, and executive bodies of state power is engaged in a comprehensive study of the consequences of the earthquake and determining the volume and types of emergency assistance to the affected population.
According to preliminary information, 94 residential buildings were completely destroyed and 50 houses were partially destroyed in the Rasht and Tojikobod districts, and 61 others received minor damage. 3 secondary educational institutions and almost 200 various structures were also damaged.
The process of eliminating the consequences of the natural disaster in the Rasht and Tojikobod districts and the provision of first aid to the affected population is under the constant control and attention of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.
