On April 10, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, together with the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali, commissioned the Gardi Limited Liability Company Sewing Factory on Abdulahad Kahhorov Street in the capital.
The newly built facility consists of three floors and was built at a cost of 45 million somoni. It produces men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing. The factory’s beautiful and comfortable clothes are competitive in quality and are sewn in accordance with the tastes and desires of buyers. The newly built factory was launched within the framework of implementing the fourth national goal — rapid industrialization of the country, and experienced specialists have been hired to produce products that meet international standards. Currently, the number of workers at the garment factory is 210, and when its design capacity is fully utilized, their number will be increased to 400.
As the Head of State Emomali Rahmon was informed, the Gardi Sewing Factory can produce up to 13 thousand different garments per day, and in total from 1.5 to 2 million pieces of clothing per year. In total, the enterprise has launched the production of more than 45 types of products. The production capacity and quality of the products allow its garments to be competitive and import-substituting in the country’s markets, as well as being exported.
The new factory was built within the framework of the instructions of the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon in order to develop the country’s textile industry and launch the production of final products by domestic entrepreneur Abdurahmon Mukhtoshov.
During the meeting, it was noted that quality control is implemented at all stages of production, and special attention is also paid to the shape, type and design of clothing.
The production process is mainly carried out independently, and more than 230 special sewing machines are connected to the production line.
Here, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon got acquainted with the final products of the Gardi Sewing Factory and highly appreciated the quality of the products, their shape and design.
This factory will provide an opportunity for the country’s textile industry to develop and gradually implement full processing of local raw materials domestically.
The Gardi Sewing Factory also has an exhibition hall, various service centers, a canteen with 280 seats and other auxiliary facilities.
The Head of State Emomali Rahmon highly appreciated the production process and equipment of the factory, considering such innovative initiatives of domestic entrepreneurs as an example and a reason for support.
The newly established sewing factory’s managers were instructed to focus on the quality of their products so that they would find buyers.
