Cooperation with Leading Chinese Companies Explored at Sughd Free Economic Zone

DUSHANBE, 20.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone (FEZ) held talks with Ms. Wang Lixian, Director of the Institute of Ecology and Geography of Xinjiang, on the prospects of establishing joint Tajik-Chinese enterprises and expanding cooperation with prominent Chinese companies.
Ms. Wang visited the Sughd FEZ to gain firsthand insight into its operations and existing economic partnerships.
During the meeting, the Head of the Sughd FEZ Administration, Muhammad Muhammadzoda, presented an overview of the zone’s activities, investment incentives, and strategic advantages for foreign partners.
The parties discussed potential areas of collaboration, including the establishment of joint ventures and the attraction of Chinese private companies to operate within the FEZ.
Both sides expressed a shared interest in enhancing bilateral economic ties and exploring new opportunities in trade and investment.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured “Asia Politex” LLC, one of the resident enterprises of the zone, and held discussions with company representatives regarding their operations and future prospects.
