President Emomali Rahmon gets acquainted with progress in agriculture in Dangara district

DUSHANBE, 16.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 16, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, in Dangara district, got acquainted with the process of growin agricultural crops at the Somonjon Production Cooperative and the Emomi Azam Farm.
During the visit to the Emomi Azam Farm, it was reported that it was established in 2009 on the instructions and guidance of the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, and the total area of its gardens is 70 hectares.
Using advanced experience and observing agricultural techniques, farmers grow cherries
on an area of 25 hectares, 4 hectares — peaches, 2 hectares — apricots and other types of fruit trees that are suitable for the region.
The hardworking farmers have accumulated rich experience in growing and maintaining gardens, and they effectively use the space between their rows until the seedlings fully bear fruit. In addition to supplying them to domestic and foreign markets, they also store large quantities of products in cold storage.
Then, the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon got acquainted with the process of growing agricultural crops at the Somonjon Production Cooperative.
It is worth noting that the Somonjon Production Cooperative is multidisciplinary, and farmers are engaged in planting and growing vegetables and legumes, cereals, technical crops, gardens and vineyards in compliance with agrotechnical rules.
The Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon was informed that in the Somonjon Production Cooperative, 800 hectares of wheat, 15 hectares of flax, 180 hectares of barley, 190 hectares of cotton, 52 hectares of vegetables and legumes, and 34 hectares of grain corn have been planted, all of which are growing well.
The Head of State Emomali Rahmon got acquainted with the cultivation of fruit trees, including almonds, peaches and black plums, in the farm gardens.
Here, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon visited an exhibition of agricultural products and achievements of the district’s forestry. The exhibition presented various agricultural products, including vegetables, legumes and fresh fruits, dried fruits, cereals and other natural products.
