DUSHANBE, 16.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 16, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, continuing his working visit to Danghara district of Khatlon Province, commissioned the newly established Oxus Interasia Limited Liability Company in Danghara Free Economic Zone.

The newly established industrial enterprise was established with the involvement of foreign capital and the best European machinery and equipment, and its activities are aimed at the production of tobacco products using the world’s number one technology. The investment volume of the enterprise in two stages amounts to 27 million US dollars.

During the acquaintance with the activities of this enterprise, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the industrial enterprise produces 15 types of tobacco products, and its production capacity is 3 billion pieces per year. It was emphasized that the enterprise will be fully operational within the next year.

Oxus Interasia Limited Liability Company was built on an area of 2 hectares, providing permanent employment to 80 people, 70% of whom are local residents.

During a conversation with officials of the newly established enterprise, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, highly appreciated the development of bilateral and multilateral relations between Tajikistan and development partners and foreign investors in important socio-economic sectors, and considered the newly built facility an excellent example of cooperation in the industrial sector.

The Leader of the Nation emphasized that today in Tajikistan, more than 100 types of tax and customs privileges and reliefs are provided for the development of business and investment activities, which contributes to the development of trade, services and manufacturing.

Here, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, got acquainted with the project for the establishment of the Somon Food Khatlon Limited Liability Company.

During the presentation of the project, it was reported that the industrial enterprise will be built with the involvement of 7 million US dollars of foreign capital and will be put into operation by the end of this year. Its main activity will be the production of fruit juice.

According to the plan, up to 300 jobs will be created at this enterprise.

The capacity of this enterprise is 100 thousand tons per year, and 15 types of fruit juice will be produced, which are aimed at supplying the domestic market and exporting to foreign countries.

Currently, 37 domestic and foreign companies are registered as entities in the Danghara Free Economic Zone, which was created on an area of 541 hectares.

In order to achieve the fourth national goal — rapid industrialization of the country and improving the well-being of the people, a total of about 600 jobs have been created in the Danghara Free Economic Zone.

The volume of investments in 2024 from the entities of the free economic zone is equal to 34 million somoni, and the total investment potential since the beginning of its operation is more than 2 billion somoni.

Currently, the entities of Danghara Free Economic Zone have launched the production of petroleum products, metal structures, polyethylene pipes, decorative construction products, dried fruit processing, etc., and the volume of industrial production in 2024 amounted to 54 million somoni.
