DUSHANBE, 28.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 28, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon received the Vice President of the Republic of Gambia, Honorable Mohammed Jallow, who arrived in Dushanbe to participate in the first International High-Level Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation.
The meeting discussed ways to establish and strengthen cooperation between Tajikistan and Gambia.
Expanding political, trade and economic ties was considered important.
Attention was also paid to developing cooperation in the fields of culture, science, education, and tourism.
It was considered necessary to develop inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, including the creation of inter-parliamentary friendship groups.
Other topics of discussion included issues of combating the challenges and threats of the modern world, including issues of countering the effects of climate change.
An exchange of views on current issues on the international and regional agendas also took place.
